Old is New Again - South Burnett Wedding Photographer

When Amber from House of Jane told me she was creating her wedding dress from her own Grandmother's wedding dress, I seriously could not wait to see the finished product!

Amber asked her Grandma if she could use her wedding dress for her own wedding. Grandma couldn't believe it and she wondered why on earth she would want to use such an old dress. But what she created just blew me away!

Amber brought her dress in to the studio for a "Before" and "After" photo session so she could keep the photos as a beautiful keepsake of the great re-invention.

What made it even more special was that she kept the big reveal a surprise so that her Grandma could see the stunning transformation of her beloved wedding dress!
I have to admit I had a very hard time holding back the tears as Grandma saw what an absolutely beautiful ‘new’ dress Amber created with her amazing skills.

Amber is so incredibly talented and I loved being a part of and capturing this precious time. She also made her bridesmaid dresses! Super talented lady!!

Below are the "Before" images of Grandma's dress - beautiful vintage lace gown with matching bolero. Isn't it stunning!

And the "After" images of Ambers stunning dress - still keeping the bones of the vintage gown with a light chiffon layer on top allowing it to shine through - with a skirt Amber could remove later. Love Love LOVE!!
